Northern Home Services is Timmins' home-services network. Members get homeowner quote requests in their trade — shared with only a couple of other member companies, never a crowd — a public directory profile, and a room full of referral partners four times a year.
What membership includes
- Capped trade roster. A maximum of three companies per trade in the Timmins area at launch — never more than five, even as quote volume grows — so Northern quote requests in your trade go to a short list of member companies, not a bidding list.
- A directory profile that sells. Your company featured on this site with your ratings and specialties — in front of homeowners already looking to hire.
- We push for your Google reviews. After a job that came through Northern, we follow up with the homeowner and invite them to leave a review for your business on Google — so your rating climbs with every Northern job, and a five-star profile full of recent reviews wins you work long after our lead is done. Genuine reviews only: no incentives, no filtering, no funny business.
- The Northern Marketplace. List take-outs, leftover material and idle tools or equipment for sale or rent — turn what would have cost you dump fees into cash, and pick up what you need from other members and local homeowners.
- Quarterly member events. Breakfasts and mixers where members meet, swap referrals and build the relationships that keep work flowing year-round.
- The Northern name. Members are promoted as part of one local network — on this site, on Northern's social pages, and at every event. It's a name Timmins homeowners are learning to call first.
- Promotion across Northern channels. Member spotlights on Northern's social pages, flyers and community events throughout the year.
- Member Perks Program. We're building a perks program for members — negotiated discounts and preferred offers from local suppliers and services: tires for the work trucks, restaurants for the crew, accounting, business insurance, and banking for members growing a business. Plus a community of fellow business owners behind you when you're starting out. Founding members are first in as partners come on board.
How joining works

- Step 2 — We meet in person. Coffee or lunch is on us. We talk about your business and make sure it's a fit both ways.
- Step 3 — You're live. Your directory profile goes up and quote requests in your trade start coming to you.
Regular membership $1,500/yr + HST — founding members pay $1,000 + HST for their first year, for the first three spots in each trade.

- Split payment available: $500 + HST now, $500 + HST in 90 days
- No per-lead fees, no commission on your jobs
- Founding rate covers your first year — renewals are at the then-current rate
Membership starts after we meet in person — applying costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Why a membership, not per-lead fees?
Lead marketplaces sell the same homeowner to five contractors and charge everyone. Northern does the opposite: a small, capped roster of local companies — three per trade at launch, never more than five — promoted all year, for one flat annual rate. Predictable for you — and homeowners get one number to call for every trade.

Northern runs on relationships, not algorithms. Members meet four times a year — and it starts with one big welcome event this fall.
The Northern Welcome Breakfast
Our launch event for Timmins-area home-service companies. Breakfast is on us, the room is full of the trades you'll want on speed dial, and founding membership spots open to attendees first.

Terms of Use
How Northern Home Services works — what we do, and what we don't do. Last updated October 2026.
1. Northern is a referral and marketing network
Northern Home Services connects homeowners in the Timmins area with independent local home-service companies ("members") and promotes those companies through this website, events, and advertising. Northern does not perform renovation, repair, installation, or any other home-service work itself.
2. Members are independent businesses
Member companies are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, partners, or subcontractors of Northern Home Services, and Northern does not supervise, direct, or control how a member carries out its work. Northern does not guarantee any member's workmanship, pricing, timelines, or results.
3. Your contract is with the member company
Quotes are prepared and provided by the member company doing the work. If you hire a member, your agreement is strictly between you and that company — including price, scope, schedule, warranties, and payment. Please review the member's contract and terms before work begins.
4. How Northern makes money
Member companies pay Northern Home Services a membership fee to belong to the network and appear on this website. Homeowners are never charged for submitting a quote request. Membership is capped at a small number of companies per trade — three to start, never more than five.
5. Your information and consent
When you submit a quote request and tick the consent box, Northern shares your name, contact details, and job description with the member companies matched to your job so they can contact you with quotes. We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us to remove your information at any time by contacting us.
6. Listings and ratings
We work to keep company listings accurate, but details can change without notice. Ratings shown on member profiles are the member's public review ratings, shown for information only — they are not a guarantee of any member's work.
7. If something goes wrong
Because your contract is with the member company, that company is responsible for its own work. If you have a concern about a job, contact us and we will pass it on to the member and help connect you — but Northern cannot guarantee a resolution, a refund, or compensation.
8. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Ontario, Northern Home Services is not liable for any work performed by member companies, for any agreement between a homeowner and a member, or for any loss arising from work a member performs. Nothing in these terms limits, waives, or takes away any rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or any other law that cannot legally be waived.

Northern Home Services is a Timmins-based network of local home-service companies — roofers, window and insulation specialists, renovators, painters, handymen and more.
Northern is built on real relationships: every member company is met face-to-face before it joins the network. When you request a quote, we send it to up to three of our member companies in that trade. The ones who want the job reach out to you within 24 hours to set up an appointment, and you can compare up to three local companies that are ready and available to do the work. Members get a network that actually refers work to each other.
